1st VASS Progress Report (January 2005)

SCNZ tapped NG government funds through VASS and 226 village CSUs’ self-financed activity with children was greatly enhanced. This is the first Progress Report (for the period July to December 2004).

Though it was really too early, with the Programme being just 6 months old, we decided to do a bottom-up and participatory Effects Monitoring exercise involving all the village Balakendra Teachers, 8 Case Workers and 3 Extension Workers. They recorded Baselines, explained the Activities and shared Results obtained.

This document is especially important for the chapters it contains on the methodology followed, organisational learning that such an Effects Monitoring exercise provided, etc.
